Mountain Biking

This weekend my brother Joel and I went mountain biking at a race in Wisconsin. It was the 12 Hours of Sugar Creek and was very wet and muddy. We did the 6 hour team event. The bike of choice was the only mountain bike that I have setup right now. It is a Trek Fuel 100 frame that I have mostly Shimano XT components on. I built up the bike just before the race and it performed fairly well. The only glitch was a chain break about 5.5 hours into the race. It is somewhat expected to have a drivetrain failure with fist-sized pieces of mud on the derailers. The guy in the picture is my brother coming in to trade off laps. We are going to do a few more endurance events this year. Should be a lot of fun. The events are in the Wisconsin Endurance Mountainbike Series (WEMS).
